This has been on the forefront of my mind as it was rehearsed and became a grand reminder of all the possibilities a good education will offer me. This became the foundation of my educational journey which started at Westwood High School in Jamaica, where I graduated at age sixteen. This lead to two years at Capital Community College and then another two years at Central Connecticut State University. After my educational years, I began my professional journey where I started working as a Systems Developer for three years. While working at my current organization I had the opportunity to join the organization's training unit. During my years working within this unit I realized I enjoyed the process of creating and developing training materials. However I lacked the foundation and fundamentals required for this process. Hence, began my journey to further my knowledge and the understanding of what it means to be an instructional designer. |  |
Apart from my quest for more knowledge, I enjoy traveling to different countries and states within USA. It allows me to learn more about different cultures and experience life from a different point of view. I currently have a collection of orchids which I started three years ago. Orchids are unique plants that are of great beauty and delicate by nature. Apart from my travels and orchid collection, I'm currently training to compete in the Tough Mudder Competition in Summer 2013 and the Hartford Marathon in Fall 2013. My life in a snapshot is a continuous journey of new experiences.

Hartford is nicknamed the "Insurance Capital of the World" but there is more to Hartford than meets the eye. Hartford is home to the nation's oldest public art museum, the Wadsworth Atheneum; the oldest public park, Bushnell Park; and the oldest continuously published newspaper, The Hartford Courant.
